A Great Weekend at the Digital Wood Carver Open House

We had an amazing time at our Open House last weekend! Held on November 7-9 at DWC headquarters in Martinsville, IN, the event brought together CNC enthusiasts, our dedicated team, and partners from across the woodworking community. It was an opportunity to connect, learn, and share what makes the world of CNC woodworking so rewarding. Here’s a look at some highlights from the weekend:

Beautiful Weather and a Great Turnout

The weather couldn’t have been better, which allowed for some fantastic outdoor demonstrations. Wood-Mizer’s team took full advantage, putting on live sawmill demos that showed just what their equipment can do. Traffic throughout the weekend was steady, keeping our team and vendors busy but allowing everyone time to dive into the demos, ask questions, and explore our CNC machines up close.

Hands-On CNC Demos with the DWC1824, DWC2440, and DWC5100

Throughout the weekend, we showcased several of our machines in action, including the DWC1824, DWC2440, and the DWC5100 commercial-grade CNC. Our live demos gave visitors a chance to see everything from intricate carvings to large-scale cuts, making it clear how versatile our CNCs are for projects big and small.

Big Thanks to Our Vendor Partners

We want to give a huge thank-you to our vendor partners who joined us and made the weekend a well-rounded experience for everyone:

  • Wood-Mizer impressed with live sawmill demonstrations.

  • Accurate Cutting Tech shared expertise in CNC accessories, tool sharpening, and more.

  • Bowlbywood and the Indiana Woodworker’s Club showcased CNC-crafted pieces, giving attendees a look at the potential of DWC machines for business and creativity.

  • Wood Pecker provided door prizes, giving lucky attendees the chance to go home with some fantastic gear.

Having these partners with us brought extra energy and expertise to the event, and we know attendees loved the chance to connect with them directly.

Laney’s CNC Training Class: A Hit!

One of the weekend’s highlights was Laney Shaughnessy’s training class, which turned out to be a crowd favorite. Laney shared hands-on tips and insights, showing how to get the most from your CNC projects. Based on the feedback, we’re already making plans for more training sessions in the future—so stay tuned!

Thank You to Our Attendees and Team

We’re grateful to everyone who attended, from local visitors to folks who traveled from as far as New York, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Ohio. It was great to meet so many people who share our passion for CNC. And a special thanks to our incredible team, who put in the hard work to make this event happen. Your commitment and enthusiasm made all the difference!

With such a great turnout and positive feedback, we’re already looking forward to our next Open House. Thank you again to everyone who helped make it a success. Until next time, stay connected, keep creating, and reach out anytime with your CNC questions or needs—our team is here for you!
