How the DWC 2440 CNC Keeps Jeff Clary Carving

For many CNC owners, the journey starts with a business goal, custom signs, furniture, or detailed carvings that bring in extra income. But for Jeff Clary, his DWC 2440 CNC has become more than just a tool for making money. It’s now his passion.

A CNC That Pays for Itself

Jeff purchased his DWC 2440 in 2017, and over the years, it proved to be a profitable investment. Like many Digital Wood Carver owners, he used it to create and sell custom wood carvings, turning his hobby into a business. The precision and reliability of the machine made it easy to produce quality work that customers loved.

Retirement Brings a New Purpose

Now retired, Jeff has shifted his focus from selling to creating for himself.

His shop is lined with what he calls “my people”, unique wood carvings that showcase his creativity. Visitors from nearby areas stop by just to see them in person, often commenting that pictures don’t do them justice.

But what really brings Jeff joy? Turning down offers, sometimes huge ones, for his work. Every piece is one-of-a-kind, and he has no interest in selling them. For him, it’s all about the love of the craft.

Why the DWC 2440 Was the Right Choice

After seven years of continuous use, Jeff still considers his DWC 2440 “one of the best purchases I’ve ever made.” The machine’s reliability and ease of use have made it an essential part of his woodworking journey.

He also gives credit to Digital Wood Carver’s customer support, mentioning that Burl Tichenor and Laney Shaughnessy are the best at what they do.
